Description
Sweet and crispy fried apple treats
Ingredients
- 2 large apples
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Vegetable oil
- 1 cup flour
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup milk
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Step 3: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Step 4: Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Step 5: Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F.
- Step 6: Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop the apple mixture into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Step 7: Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Step 8: Drain the fritters on paper towels and dust with cinnamon sugar.
