Ingredients

  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup meat sauce
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups Arborio rice
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Combine cooked rice, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan in a bowl
  2. Step 2: Mix well with a fork until just combined
  3. Step 3: Beat the egg in a separate bowl
  4. Step 4: Add the egg to the rice mixture and mix until a dough forms
  5. Step 5: Gradually add the flour and mix until just combined
  6. Step 6: Shape into small balls
  7. Step 7: Dip each ball in the beaten egg and then roll in breadcrumbs
  8. Step 8: Heat about 2 inches of olive oil in a deep frying pan
  9. Step 9: Fry the arancini until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side
  10. Step 10: Drain on paper towels and serve hot
