Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cups flour
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Step 3: Add cold butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry blender or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and egg until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Pour the cream mixture over the flour mixture and stir until the dough comes together in a shaggy mass.
