Ingredients
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 6 slices bacon
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup cheddar cheese
- 3 large potatoes
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: In a large skillet, cook diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Step 3: In a separate saucepan, combine heavy cream, butter, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Step 4: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of potatoes. Top with a layer of cream mixture, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese and crispy bacon. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Step 5: Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until top is golden brown and potatoes are tender.
