Description
A classic breakfast sandwich featuring crispy bacon, a fried egg, and melted cheese on a toasted bagel
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 4 large eggs
- 4 bagels
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat
- Step 2: Cook the bacon slices until crispy, flipping halfway through (4-5 minutes per side)
- Step 3: Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet and set aside
- Step 4: Crack an egg into the same skillet and cook until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to desired doneness (2-3 minutes per side)
- Step 5: Butter the bagels and toast until lightly browned
- Step 6: Assemble the sandwiches by spreading a slice of cheese on the bottom half of the bagel, followed by a few slices of bacon, a fried egg, and finally the top half of the bagel
- Step 7: Season with salt and pepper to taste
