Description
A decadent breakfast sandwich featuring crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a fried egg on toasted brioche
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 slices brioche bread
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 0.25 cup Gruyère cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy, flipping halfway through. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Step 2: Butter one side of each brioche slice.
- Step 3: Place one slice of brioche, buttered side down, in the skillet. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese, a few slices of cooked bacon, and a fried egg.
- Step 4: Place the second slice of brioche, buttered side up, on top of the egg.
- Step 5: Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Remove from heat and top with grated Gruyère cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
