Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 0.5 cup ketchup
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cup onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, ketchup, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined
- Step 3: Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape into a loaf shape on a baking sheet
- Step 4: Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap them around the meatloaf, securing with a toothpick if needed
- Step 5: Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the bacon is crispy
- Step 6: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving
