- 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Step 2: Pour buttermilk into a separate medium bowl.
- Step 3: Dip each piece of fish into the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Step 4: Heat about 1/2-inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
- Step 5: Fry the fish in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Step 6: Using a slotted spoon, remove the fish from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
