Description
Tender and flavorful pork ribs slathered in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 pounds pork ribs
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup barbecue rub
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 0.25 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Step 3: Apply the dry rub evenly to both racks of ribs, making sure to coat all surfaces.
- Step 4: Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and bake for 2 1/2 hours.
- Step 5: While the ribs are baking, mix together apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and water in a small saucepan.
- Step 6: Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Step 7: After the ribs have baked for 2 1/2 hours, brush them evenly with the barbecue sauce.
- Step 8: Return the ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and the ribs are tender.
