Beef with Black Bean Sauce

Description
Stir-fried beef strips cooked in a savory black bean sauce, served with steamed vegetables
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cups broccoli
- 2 tablespoons black bean paste
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 500 g beef strips
- 1 small onion
- 1 cup mixed bell peppers
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Step 2: Add beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from wok and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Step 4: Add minced garlic and grated ginger and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Step 5: Add sliced onion and mixed bell peppers and stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for another minute.
- Step 7: Add black bean paste, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the wok. Stir-fry for 1 minute, until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Step 8: Return the cooked beef strips to the wok and stir-fry until the beef is well coated with the sauce.
- Step 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 10: Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions if desired.
