Description
Korean rice bowl dish topped with an assortment of vegetables, meat, and a fried egg
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon Gochujang
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 small carrot
- 1 small zucchini
- 1 cup white rice
- 0.5 cup beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms
- green onions
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the rice according to the package instructions using 2 cups of water.
- Step 2: Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add the zucchini, carrot, and bean sprouts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften.
- Step 4: Add the mushrooms, beef, garlic, soy sauce, and Gochujang to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through.
- Step 5: Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Step 6: Fry an egg in a small non-stick pan and set aside.
- Step 7: To assemble the bibimbap, place a scoop of cooked rice in the bottom of a bowl.
- Step 8: Arrange the vegetables and meat on top of the rice.
- Step 9: Place the fried egg in the center of the bowl.
- Step 10: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
