Description

Korean rice bowl dish topped with an assortment of vegetables, meat, and a fried egg

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon Gochujang
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 0.5 cup beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms
  • green onions
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the rice according to the package instructions using 2 cups of water.
  2. Step 2: Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Add the zucchini, carrot, and bean sprouts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften.
  4. Step 4: Add the mushrooms, beef, garlic, soy sauce, and Gochujang to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Step 6: Fry an egg in a small non-stick pan and set aside.
  7. Step 7: To assemble the bibimbap, place a scoop of cooked rice in the bottom of a bowl.
  8. Step 8: Arrange the vegetables and meat on top of the rice.
  9. Step 9: Place the fried egg in the center of the bowl.
  10. Step 10: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
