Description
A juicy beef burger topped with crumbled blue cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh thyme
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 500 g ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 slices blue cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well with your hands until just combined
- Step 3: Form 4 beef patties, about 120g each
- Step 4: Grill the beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness
- Step 5: Meanwhile, caramelize the onions in olive oil over medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Step 6: Butter the hamburger buns
- Step 7: Assemble the burgers by spreading caramelized onions on the bottom bun, followed by a beef patty, a slice of blue cheese, and a sprinkle of thyme
- Step 8: Top with the top bun
