Description
Pan-seared ribeye steak smothered in a rich bourbon glaze
Ingredients
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 each ribeye steaks
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cup bourbon whiskey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, brown sugar, mustard, and thyme. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Step 3: Season the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
- Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Step 5: Roast the steaks in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Step 6: While the steaks are cooking, brush the bourbon glaze all over the steaks.
- Step 7: Remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
