Description
Crispy pita bread filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 cup red bell pepper
- 4 breads pita
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- Salt and pepper
- 0.5 cup yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 large eggs
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 3: Add diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Step 4: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and a pinch of salt. Pour eggs over sausage mixture and scramble until cooked through.
- Step 5: Brush pita breads with olive oil and warm in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: Split pita breads in half and fill with scrambled egg mixture, cheese, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Step 7: Serve immediately and enjoy!
