Description

Crispy pita bread filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 cup red bell pepper
  • 4 breads pita
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • Salt and pepper
  • 0.5 cup yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Step 4: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and a pinch of salt. Pour eggs over sausage mixture and scramble until cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Brush pita breads with olive oil and warm in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Split pita breads in half and fill with scrambled egg mixture, cheese, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
