Description
A hearty breakfast platter featuring scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausage links, and golden-brown pancakes
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- Maple syrup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 4 links sausage
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup flour
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Flip halfway through.
- Step 3: Cook the sausage links in a separate skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.
- Step 4: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
- Step 6: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still be slightly lumpy.
- Step 7: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Drop the batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto the skillet or griddle.
- Step 8: Cook the pancakes for 2-3 minutes, until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges start to dry. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
- Step 9: Scramble the eggs in a bowl and set aside.
- Step 10: To assemble the platter, place the scrambled eggs, cooked bacon, sausage links, and pancakes on a large serving platter. Serve with maple syrup on the side.
