Description
Homemade breakfast sausage links made with pork, spices, and herbs
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 500 g ground pork
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, and cayenne pepper
- Step 2: Mix the ingredients together with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined
- Step 3: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld
- Step 4: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat
- Step 5: Use your hands to shape the mixture into small links, about 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch in diameter
- Step 6: Add the links to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through
