Homemade breakfast sausage links made with pork, spices, and herbs

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 g ground pork

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, and cayenne pepper
  2. Step 2: Mix the ingredients together with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined
  3. Step 3: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld
  4. Step 4: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat
  5. Step 5: Use your hands to shape the mixture into small links, about 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch in diameter
  6. Step 6: Add the links to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through
