Description
Spicy fried chicken wings tossed in buffalo sauce
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 0.5 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Vegetable oil
- 1 cup flour
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Step 3: Pour buttermilk into a separate large bowl.
- Step 4: Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Step 5: Dip the floured wings in the buttermilk, making sure they are fully coated.
- Step 6: Dredge the wings in the flour mixture again, pressing the coating onto the wings to adhere.
- Step 7: Carefully place the coated wings in the hot oil. Fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Step 8: Remove the wings from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Step 9: In a large bowl, toss the fried wings with buffalo sauce until they are fully coated.
- Step 10: Serve hot and enjoy!
