Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 fillets catfish
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • parsley
  • 0.5 cup blackening seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together blackening seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Step 3: Brush both sides of the catfish fillets with butter.
  4. Step 4: Coat each fillet with the spice mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Step 5: Heat a large oven-safe skillet over high heat. Sear the catfish for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Step 6: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
