Description
A classic sushi roll filled with crab, cucumber, and avocado, topped with tobiko and thinly sliced daikon
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup water
- 1 cup Japanese short-grain rice
- 0.25 cup tobiko
- 0.5 cucumber
- 0.5 avocado
- 0.5 cup crab meat
- 0.25 cup daikon
- 0.25 cup rice vinegar
- 1 sheet nori
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 cup sugar
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the sushi rice according to the package instructions
- Step 2: Mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small saucepan and bring to a boil
- Step 3: Combine the cooked rice and vinegar mixture in a large bowl and stir until the rice is well coated
- Step 4: Cut the avocado and cucumber into thin slices
- Step 5: Lay a sheet of nori flat on a sushi mat
- Step 6: Spread a thin layer of sushi rice onto the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top
- Step 7: Arrange the crab meat, avocado, and cucumber in the middle of the rice
- Step 8: Roll the sushi using the mat and apply gentle pressure
- Step 9: Slice the roll into 8 equal pieces
- Step 10: Top each piece with tobiko and daikon
