Description
A classic Italian-inspired sandwich featuring fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil, dressed with a rich balsamic glaze
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Balsamic vinegar
- 4 slices Ciabatta bread
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 large Tomatoes
- 8 oz Mozzarella cheese
- 0.25 cup Fresh Basil leaves
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a panini press or grill to medium-high heat
- Step 2: Slice the Ciabatta bread into 1-inch thick slices
- Step 3: Layer the sliced mozzarella, tomato, and basil leaves on two slices of bread
- Step 4: Drizzle the olive oil over the filling
- Step 5: Top with the remaining bread slices
- Step 6: Cook in the panini press or grill for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted
- Step 7: Meanwhile, reduce the balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat until thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally
- Step 8: Brush the balsamic glaze over the panini
- Step 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste
