Description
A classic Italian-inspired sandwich featuring fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on a crusty bread roll
Ingredients
- 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 Ciabatta bread rolls
- 2 Tomatoes
- 0.25 cup Basil
- Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat
- Step 2: Slice the Ciabatta bread rolls in half and toast until lightly browned
- Step 3: Spread a layer of olive oil on the bottom half of each bread roll
- Step 4: Top the bread roll with a slice of mozzarella cheese, a few slices of tomato, and a sprinkle of chopped basil
- Step 5: Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Step 6: Top with the top half of the bread roll
- Step 7: Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy
