Description
A classic Filipino dish made with marinated chicken cooked in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup vinegar
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 0.5 pounds chicken thighs
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine chicken, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and bay leaf
- Step 2: Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes
- Step 3: Remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool for a few minutes
- Step 4: Strain the sauce and discard the bay leaf
- Step 5: Serve the chicken with the sauce spooned over the top
