Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Step 2: Pour buttermilk into a separate large bowl.
- Step 3: Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
- Step 4: Heat 1/2-inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 5: Fry the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Step 6: In a separate bowl, whisk together waffle ingredients (2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, eggs, and melted butter).
- Step 7: Pour waffle batter into a preheated waffle iron and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Step 8: Serve fried chicken on top of waffles with maple syrup drizzled over the top.
