Description
Rich and creamy fettuccine pasta dish with grilled chicken and parmesan sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 pound fettuccine pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 2 cups mushrooms
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 3 cloves garlic
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Step 2: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Step 3: In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 4: Pour in heavy cream and bring mixture to a simmer. Let cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Step 5: Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Step 6: Add cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
- Step 7: Add cooked chicken and mushrooms to the skillet, tossing to combine with the pasta and sauce.
- Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy!
