Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 2 cups mushrooms
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Pour in heavy cream and bring mixture to a simmer. Let cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Step 5: Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Step 6: Add cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce. If needed, add some reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  7. Step 7: Add cooked chicken and mushrooms to the skillet, tossing to combine with the pasta and sauce.
  8. Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy!
