Description

A spicy Indian-inspired stir-fry dish made with marinated chicken, bell peppers, and onions

Ingredients

  • 2 medium bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 medium onions
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 2 teaspoons ghee
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon garam masala powder

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat
  2. Step 2: Add cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly
  3. Step 3: Add the sliced onions and cook until they start to brown (about 5 minutes)
  4. Step 4: Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes
  5. Step 5: Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes)
  6. Step 6: Add the minced garlic, diced tomato, tomato puree, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine
  7. Step 7: Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
  8. Step 8: Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro or scallions (if desired)
