Description

Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon basil
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound chicken breast or thighs
  • 2 stalks celery

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion, sliced carrots, and sliced celery in a little bit of oil until the vegetables are tender
  2. Step 2: Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute
  3. Step 3: Add the chicken to the pot and cook until browned on all sides
  4. Step 4: Pour in the chicken broth, dried thyme, dried basil, salt, and pepper
  5. Step 5: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through
  6. Step 6: Add the egg noodles to the pot and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the noodles are tender
