Description
A traditional Hungarian stew made with chicken, paprika, and sour cream
Ingredients
- 2 medium onions
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 0.25 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 0.25 cup sour cream
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 0.5 pounds chicken thighs
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 medium bell peppers
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat
- Step 2: Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes
- Step 3: Add onions, garlic, and bell peppers, cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes
- Step 4: Add paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper, cook for 1 minute
- Step 5: Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes
- Step 6: Stir in sour cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes
