Description
A flavorful and spicy twist on traditional nachos, loaded with chili, cheese, and fresh toppings
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 large onion
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 jalapeño pepper
- 0.25 cup cilantro
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Step 2: In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking into small pieces
- Step 3: Add diced onion and minced garlic to skillet and cook until onion is translucent
- Step 4: Stir in chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute
- Step 5: Add diced tomatoes and red kidney beans to skillet, stirring to combine
- Step 6: Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet
- Step 7: Spoon chili mixture over tortilla chips, followed by shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- Step 8: Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly
- Step 9: Remove from oven and top with chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeño, and a dollop of sour cream
