Description

Ingredients

  • 0.5 quarts vanilla soft serve ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 12 cones waffle

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Scoop the soft serve ice cream into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip
  2. Step 2: Pipe the ice cream into the waffle cones, filling them about 3/4 of the way full
  3. Step 3: Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval until smooth
  4. Step 4: Stir in the shortening until combined
  5. Step 5: Dip the top of each ice cream cone into the melted chocolate, using a spatula or spoon to fully coat the cone
  6. Step 6: Place the dipped cones on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the chocolate
