  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 can diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Step 3: Add the diced onion to the pot and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add the garlic, flour, cumin, cinnamon, allspice, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Step 5: Stir in the diced tomatoes, red kidney beans, beef broth, water, and cocoa powder. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Step 6: Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
