Description

Ingredients
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 0.5 cup water
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp nutmeg
- 0.5 cups flour
- 0.25 cup cinnamon sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 cup butter
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Step 3: Add melted butter, warm water, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Step 4: Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Step 5: Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch (6 mm). Cut into strips, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide and 3 inches (7.5 cm) long.
- Step 6: Dip each strip into cinnamon sugar mixture, coating both sides evenly.
- Step 7: Place the coated strips onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each stick.
- Step 8: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
