Ingredients

  • 0.25 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 sheet nori seaweed
  • 0.25 cup rice vinegar
  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup Japanese short-grain rice
  • 0.25 cup imitation crab meat
  • 0.5 avocado

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the sushi rice according to the package instructions using 1 3/4 cups of water
  2. Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat until dissolved
  3. Step 3: Once the rice is cooked, stir in the vinegar mixture
  4. Step 4: Allow the rice to cool to room temperature
  5. Step 5: Cut the avocado and cucumber into thin slices
  6. Step 6: Lay a sheet of nori seaweed flat on a sushi mat
  7. Step 7: Spread a thin layer of sushi rice onto the seaweed, leaving a 1-inch border at the top
  8. Step 8: Place the avocado, cucumber, and crab meat in the middle of the rice
  9. Step 9: Roll the sushi using the mat
  10. Step 10: Slice into 8 equal pieces
