Description
A classic breakfast dish made with corned beef, potatoes, and onions, pan-fried until crispy and golden brown
Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 pound corned beef
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion
Instructions
- Step 1: Dice the corned beef into small pieces and set aside
- Step 2: Peel and dice the potatoes into small pieces, then boil in salted water until slightly tender, about 5 minutes
- Step 3: Drain the potatoes and set aside to cool
- Step 4: In a large pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat
- Step 5: Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes
- Step 6: Add the cooked potatoes, corned beef, salt, and pepper to the pan, stirring to combine
- Step 7: Use a spatula to press the mixture down into the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown
- Step 8: Flip the hash over and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the other side is also golden brown
