Description

Crispy wontons filled with a creamy crab and cheese mixture

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup crab meat
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 0.25 cup scallions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan or a deep fryer to 350°F
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, crab meat, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined
  3. Step 3: Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the crab mixture in the center of the wrapper
  4. Step 4: Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper
  5. Step 5: Fold the wrapper into a triangle by bringing the two opposite corners together to form a point
  6. Step 6: Press the edges together to seal the rangoon
  7. Step 7: Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling
  8. Step 8: Carefully place a few of the rangoons into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side
  9. Step 9: Remove the rangoons from the oil and drain on paper towels
  10. Step 10: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce
