Description
Crispy wontons filled with a creamy crab and cheese mixture
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic
- Vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- 0.5 cup cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 0.25 cup crab meat
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 0.25 cup scallions
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan or a deep fryer to 350°F
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, crab meat, scallions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined
- Step 3: Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the crab mixture in the center of the wrapper
- Step 4: Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper
- Step 5: Fold the wrapper into a triangle by bringing the two opposite corners together to form a point
- Step 6: Press the edges together to seal the rangoon
- Step 7: Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling
- Step 8: Carefully place a few of the rangoons into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side
- Step 9: Remove the rangoons from the oil and drain on paper towels
- Step 10: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce
