Ingredients

- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 12 oz pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente
- Step 2: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until browned and cooked through
- Step 3: Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside, then add the diced onion and cook until translucent
- Step 4: Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant
- Step 5: Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer
- Step 6: Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened
- Step 7: Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth
- Step 8: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with the sauce until well coated
- Step 9: Return the chicken to the skillet and toss with the pasta and sauce
