Ingredients
- 6 cloves garlic
- 0.75 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- parsley
- 1 pound fettuccine pasta
- Salt and pepper
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter
Instructions
- Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Step 2: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Step 3: Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Step 4: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 5: Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine with the creamy garlic sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
- Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
