Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup clam juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 pound clams
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Step 2: Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Step 4: Add clams, clam juice, milk, heavy cream, potatoes, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Step 5: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
