Description
Dill pickle slices breaded and fried to a crispy golden brown
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 jar dill pickle slices
- Vegetable oil
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Step 2: Pour buttermilk into a separate shallow dish.
- Step 3: Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk, coating completely, then roll in the flour mixture to coat.
- Step 4: Dip the flour-coated pickle slice into the buttermilk again, then roll in the panko breadcrumbs to coat.
- Step 5: Heat about 1/2-inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
- Step 6: Carefully place the breaded pickle slices into the hot oil.
- Step 7: Fry the pickles for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Step 8: Remove the pickles from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
