Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.5 cups milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1.5 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until yeast is activated.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Step 3: Add yeast mixture to the dough and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Step 4: Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Step 5: Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Fold it into thirds and rotate 90 degrees. Roll out to a thickness of 1/4 inch again.
  6. Step 6: Cut out 4-6 rectangles of dough, depending on desired size.
  7. Step 7: Roll each rectangle into a croissant shape. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Step 8: Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Step 9: While croissants are baking, cook bacon slices in a pan until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  10. Step 10: Scramble eggs in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
