Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: Add ground pork and beef, cook until browned, breaking into small pieces.
  3. Step 3: Add onion, celery, and garlic, cook until vegetables are softened.
  4. Step 4: Add thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper, stir to combine.
  5. Step 5: Add rice to skillet, stir to combine with meat mixture.
  6. Step 6: Add chicken broth, bring to a boil.
  7. Step 7: Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
