Description
A classic Japanese-inspired sushi roll filled with tempura shrimp and avocado, topped with eel sauce and sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup daikon radish
- 1 cup Japanese rice
- 0.25 cup rice vinegar
- 1 sheet nori seaweed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup water
- 0.25 cup eel sauce
- 0.5 cup tempura shrimp
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 0.5 avocado
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare sushi rice by combining cooked rice, water, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and cooking over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar and salt dissolve.
- Step 2: Allow rice to cool.
- Step 3: Prepare tempura shrimp according to package instructions.
- Step 4: Cut avocado into thin slices.
- Step 5: Assemble the dragon roll by spreading a thin layer of sushi rice onto the nori seaweed, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Step 6: Place tempura shrimp and avocado slices in the middle of the rice.
- Step 7: Roll the sushi using a bamboo sushi mat.
- Step 8: Slice the roll into 8 equal pieces.
- Step 9: Drizzle eel sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the roll.
- Step 10: Garnish with thinly sliced daikon radish.
