Ingredients
- 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 0.75 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 0.5 cup butter
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 3: Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Step 4: Add heavy cream and stir until dough comes together.
- Step 5: Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead 2-3 times.
- Step 6: Roll out dough to 1 inch thickness. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
- Step 7: In a small bowl, whisk together beaten egg and shredded cheese.
- Step 8: Place a spoonful of egg mixture onto one half of each biscuit round.
- Step 9: Fold biscuit in half and press edges to seal.
