Description
A classic breakfast sandwich featuring a fried egg and melted cheese on toasted bread
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 1 large egg
- 2 slices bread
Instructions
- Step 1: Butter one side of each bread slice
- Step 2: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat
- Step 3: Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in the pan
- Step 4: Place the cheese slice on top of the bread
- Step 5: Crack the egg into the pan and cook until the whites are set
- Step 6: Place the second bread slice, buttered side up, on top of the egg
- Step 7: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown
- Step 8: Flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown
