Description

A classic breakfast sandwich featuring a fried egg and melted cheese on toasted bread

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 slices bread

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Butter one side of each bread slice
  2. Step 2: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat
  3. Step 3: Place one bread slice, buttered side down, in the pan
  4. Step 4: Place the cheese slice on top of the bread
  5. Step 5: Crack the egg into the pan and cook until the whites are set
  6. Step 6: Place the second bread slice, buttered side up, on top of the egg
  7. Step 7: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the bread is golden brown
  8. Step 8: Flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown
