Description

A classic breakfast sandwich featuring a fried egg, melted cheddar cheese, and toasted English muffin

Ingredients

  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 English muffins
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat
  2. Step 2: Butter one side of each English muffin half
  3. Step 3: Place the English muffin halves, buttered side down, in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
  4. Step 4: Flip the English muffin halves and cook for an additional 2 minutes
  5. Step 5: Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to desired doneness
