Description
A classic breakfast sandwich featuring a fried egg, melted cheddar cheese, and toasted English muffin
Ingredients
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 English muffins
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Step 2: Butter one side of each English muffin half
- Step 3: Place the English muffin halves, buttered side down, in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
- Step 4: Flip the English muffin halves and cook for an additional 2 minutes
- Step 5: Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to desired doneness
- Step 6: Meanwhile, place the cheese slices on top of the cooked English muffin halves
- Step 7: Assemble the sandwiches by placing a cooked egg on top of the cheese
- Step 8: Season with salt and pepper to taste
