Description
A Chinese omelette dish made with eggs, vegetables, and sometimes meat, served with a savory sauce and steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 0.5 cup cabbage
- 0.25 cup chicken
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 0.5 cup scallions
- 2 eggs
- 0.5 cup carrots
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Step 2: Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add cabbage, carrots, and scallions and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 4: Add cooked chicken, garlic, and stir-fry for another minute.
- Step 5: Pour in the egg mixture and scramble until eggs are cooked through.
- Step 6: Divide the egg mixture into 2-3 portions, depending on desired size.
- Step 7: Shape each portion into a round patty.
- Step 8: Heat a non-stick skillet or wok over medium heat and cook the patties until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Step 9: Serve hot with steamed rice and savory sauce.
