Description

A classic sandwich filled with creamy egg salad and crunchy lettuce, served on whole wheat bread

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon dill
  • 6 large eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Chop the hard-boiled eggs into small pieces and place them in a medium bowl
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper
  3. Step 3: Add the mayonnaise mixture to the bowl with the eggs and stir until the eggs are well coated
  4. Step 4: Stir in the chopped fresh dill
  5. Step 5: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the egg salad for at least 30 minutes
  6. Step 6: Just before serving, place a lettuce leaf on each slice of bread
  7. Step 7: Spoon the egg salad on top of the lettuce leaves
  8. Step 8: Top with the remaining bread slices
