Description
A classic sandwich filled with creamy egg salad and crunchy lettuce, served on whole wheat bread
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 1 tablespoon dill
- 6 large eggs
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices whole wheat bread
Instructions
- Step 1: Chop the hard-boiled eggs into small pieces and place them in a medium bowl
- Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper
- Step 3: Add the mayonnaise mixture to the bowl with the eggs and stir until the eggs are well coated
- Step 4: Stir in the chopped fresh dill
- Step 5: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the egg salad for at least 30 minutes
- Step 6: Just before serving, place a lettuce leaf on each slice of bread
- Step 7: Spoon the egg salad on top of the lettuce leaves
- Step 8: Top with the remaining bread slices
