Description
A classic breakfast recipe where eggs are cooked inside a hole cut out of a slice of bread
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat
- Step 2: Butter one side of each bread slice
- Step 3: Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet
- Step 4: Cut a hole in the center of the bread slice, about 3 inches in diameter
- Step 5: Crack an egg into the hole
- Step 6: Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the egg whites are set and the bread is golden brown
- Step 7: Flip the bread over and cook for another minute
- Step 8: Repeat with the remaining bread slices and eggs
- Step 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste
