Description

French delicacy of snails cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 cup dry white wine
  • 12 large snails
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parsley

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and lightly golden, about 4 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add snails to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they start to release their liquid, about 2 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add white wine and chicken broth to the skillet, cover, and transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until snails are cooked through and tender.
  5. Step 5: Remove skillet from oven and stir in parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Step 6: Serve snails in garlic butter sauce, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
