Ingredients

  • 1 cup espresso
  • 12 ounces ladyfingers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Dip each ladyfinger into the espresso for about 3-5 seconds on each side
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract
  3. Step 3: Beat the mixture until smooth and creamy
  4. Step 4: To assemble the tiramisu, start with a layer of ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish
  5. Step 5: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers
  6. Step 6: Repeat the layers, starting with the ladyfingers, then the mascarpone mixture, and finally a dusting of cocoa powder
  7. Step 7: Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight
  8. Step 8: Just before serving, dust with cocoa powder and slice into squares
