Description
A classic Italian dessert infused with the richness of espresso
Ingredients
- 1 cup espresso
- 12 ounces ladyfingers
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 2 large egg yolks
- 0.25 cup butter
- 0.5 cup sugar
Instructions
- Step 1: Dip each ladyfinger into the espresso for about 3-5 seconds on each side
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract
- Step 3: Beat the mixture until smooth and creamy
- Step 4: To assemble the tiramisu, start with a layer of ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish
- Step 5: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers
- Step 6: Repeat the layers, starting with the ladyfingers, then the mascarpone mixture, and finally a dusting of cocoa powder
- Step 7: Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight
- Step 8: Just before serving, dust with cocoa powder and slice into squares
