Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 0.25 cup chives
- 0.5 cup sesame seeds
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 0.5 cup poppy seeds
- 1.5 cups flour
- 0.25 cup garlic flakes
- 0.25 cup vegetable oil
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 cup onion flakes
- 0.5 cups water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Step 2: Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
- Step 3: Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Step 4: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Step 5: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 6: Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and use thumbs to create a hole in the center, stretching it out to form a bagel.
- Step 7: Brush egg wash over the bagels and sprinkle with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion flakes, and garlic flakes.
